First and foremost, for those of you that go through long commutes for school or work, I give you props! Living in the heart of Downtown San Jose for about 3 1/2 years, I've learned that leaving at 7:30AM and 7:45AM can make the biggest difference in how long your commute can take. What could regularly range from a 15 minute commute can turn into a 45 minute one, or even longer. And not to mention the amount of time spent going back home after 5PM!

But some things have it's blessings in disguise and I'm grateful enough to have the opportunity to really explore Sunnyvale more this summer due to my current internship at Proofpoint! Sunnyvale definitely has its hidden gems and I may have finally found my favorite spot.

Open from 7AM - 8PM, Coffee & More is located in downtown along the Historic Murphy Avenue. Not only is this place aesthetically pleasing, but the area surrounding it is a great place to walk around and try different restaurants. They also have farmers markets on the weekends as well!

When I first visited this spot, I was actually looking for a place to work on this website and I felt fully comfortable and focused here. This place is a good in between trendy and rustic and the layout of the whole shop offered lots of seating and outlets. Another plus is that the entire staff is extremely friendly and have awesome recommendations if you wanna try something different!

When it comes to drinks, I'm definitely a floral kind of gal, so I was happy that they offered iced lavender lattes which quickly became my go-to drink! It's not too strong and had a good balance of lavender, substitute it with almond milk as well and it can become a coffee addicts dream come true, well at least for me!

As for food, they have a good variety of sandwiches, salads, and pastries, not to mention they also give sides of fresh fruit too! So far, my favorite has been their veggie quiche and chicken and pesto sandwich.

I've been coming here multiple times a week for just about a month and at this point I think some of the workers recognize me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Overall, 10/10 would recommend spending some time here! Whether on a lunch break or trying to kill time after work to wait for traffic to die out, even just to study and get work done, this is my go-to place!
